Mr Boo Chin-Tuan

Chin-Tuan joined the Offshore & Marine industry in 2012 with Keppel Shipyard. He first started the Operations Excellence for Keppel Shipyard and has moved on to assume a wider role covering Quality Assurance, Procurement and Logistics for Keppel Shipyard.
He was also tasked to manage Talent Management before relinquishing the portfolio back to HR after the set-up. He is currently pre-occupied working with both internal and external stakeholders on the journey towards Industry 4.0. Prior to joining the Offshore & Marine industry, Chin-Tuan was serving in the public sector covering a range of functions from planning, training, operations and logistics. He is a keen sportsman in his spare time.

Vice President of the 20th World Congress on Non-destructive Testing (WCNDT), Member of the World Federation of Non-Destructive Assessment (WFNDEC), Executive Chairman of the Far East Forum on New Technologies for Non-destructive Testing (IEEE-FENDT), Part-time Professor of the National Busan University of Korea, Part-time Researcher of Tokyo University of Technology, etc.
Long-term engaged in ultrasonic non-destructive testing and control theory and technology research, presided over the completion of a number of national scientific research projects, including: major national science and technology engineering projects, the Key Project of Natural Science Foundation of China, the Key projects of International Scientific and Technological Cooperation, and received great awards due to his outstanding contributions. Presided over the formulation of a number of national standards and industry enterprise standards, such as "Test method for measuring residual stress using ultrasonic critical refracted", "Test methods for scanning ultrasonic microscopy" and "Test method for robotic ultrasonic testing". He has been awarded more than 30 international and national patents for invention, and published five books including ultrasonic theory of nondestructive testing (science press) and ultrasonic phased array theory (translation), and published 230 academic papers.
